At&t palm centro and instant messenger question?

I have a Family Talk Group Unlimited Text plan only. I opted out of the internet plan. I want to clarify whether or not I will be charged for internet use if I use the messengers (AOL, Windows, Yahoo)? I read somewhere that these messenger services are free of charge but want to make sure that includes no internet data transfer fees or internet usage fees.
