Can anyone help me with my instrumental dilemma?

so i have been wanting to learn how to play the drums for a few years now, but my parents don't want me to. they are letting my sister learn piano and my brother guitar, but i'm not allowed to. i am the oldest, but they still won't let me. i haven't been harping on it either, and of course as soon as i bring it up they shoot me down. what are some ways that i can get them to let me play? they say that i'm responsible, but yet they won't let me do anything that requires that "skill". how can i convince them that i will practice and take it seriously? any help would be great, since i won't be doing anything this summer i could dedicate my time to practicing. i have already looked up places that i can get a set at and i know a few people who would willingly teach me. i even told them that i would pay for my first set, i'm already saving up money. any help would be really great and thank you so much!!!
