Slugs in compost heap. Good or bad?

Other answers have miss a point,slugs dont just eat,they lay eggs,so come the time for you to use your compost you'll be transplanting infected compost,they'll hatch and then all your effort will be wasted.Get rid off them.Best way would be nematodes,the slugs natural enemy,kits are availiable.
