Can anyone suggest a fast easy way to sell minor retail items online?

My experience with eBay so far has been that there are interminable waits for new pages when you click on their links and dead-end links that do not respond at all when you click. I simply can't get through the maze. I don't want to spend months figuring out how to place an ad for a few simple items. I can't even find a place to ask a question on eBay. They have ready-made FAQ's that, of course, never answer your questions. Does anyone know a better faster way to proceed?
